Radical islamist arrested in Sarajevo upon returning from Syria

A 19-year old citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina was arrested at the Sarajevo airport on Saturday after returning from Syria where he fought for the Islamic State (IS), the Bosnian border police reported on Monday.

The man was arrested in Sarajevo after arriving on a plane from Istanbul.

The media said the arrested man is Almir Dzinic who has been staying in Syria since 2014.

Dzinic went to fight in Syria as a 17-year old boy. Before that he was staying at the Bosnian village of Osvama, a known headquarters of the Islamic salafi community.
