Bridge denies claims about deadline for Karamarko's successor

The Bridge reformist party has stated on its Facebook account that it has not given any ultimatum to the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) to choose the successor to Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko of the HDZ by noon Tuesday or Bridge lawmakers will sign the SDP-sponsored motion for the parliament to dissolve itself.

Bridge says it has not issued such an ultimatum, explaining that this party wants to give an opportunity to non-partisan Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic to express his opinion in the parliament and refute false accusations stated in the HDZ-sponsored motion for a no-confidence vote in the premier.

"We expects the HDZ to withdraw the no-confidence motion against the premier and to propose the candidate for Deputy Prime Minister. If the HDZ carries out its plan to topple the premier and his cabinet, the Bridge party then sees an early election as the only option," this party wrote on its Facebook account on Saturday evening.

Bridge also warns the public of the possibility of appearance of misinformation or false claims about this party in the coming days.
