Agrokor and Sberbank sign EUR 350mn loan agreement

Croatia's Agrokor food concern and Sberbank of Russia have signed a EUR 350 million long-term loan agreement for the purpose of refinancing existing short-term obligations, Agrokor said in a press release on Monday.

The funds from this loan will be used to refinance existing short-term obligations in order to further strengthen the company's financial position and improve control of the maturity of obligations.

The company said that the transaction represented the continuity of successful cooperation which began two years ago when a memorandum of understanding was signed.

The latest arrangement is yet another confirmation of international financial institutions' trust in Agrokor's vision and long-term strategy, the press release said.
