Croatia Airlines operates at profit in 2015

The national air carrier Croatia Airlines in 2015 earned a net profit in the amount of HRK 13.8 million, recording positive results for the third consecutive year, the company confirmed on Monday.

Last year's net profit was 83% up from 2014, the company said, noting that the results were owing to the consistent implementation of a restructuring programme that was nearing completion.

The company's operating profit increased 22% to HRK 16.7 million, 35% more than planned. For the sake of comparison, the net profit in 2014 was HRK 7.5 million and operating profits totalled HRK 13.7 million.

Croatia Airlines planes in 2015 transported 1.85 million passengers, one percent more than the year before. The company flew to 31 destinations in Croatia and other countries.

The company said it planned to introduce four new lines, to Milan, Prague, Lisbon and St. Petersburg, as well as increase the number of passengers by six percent to around 1.97 million.
