Industrial turnover up 2.9%

Croatia's seasonally-adjusted industrial turnover in October 2015 was down 2.7% from the previous month, while working day-adjusted data show that compared to October 2014, industrial turnover was 2.9% higher, according to the national statistical office (DZS).

Industrial turnover on the domestic market in October this year was 6% down from the previous month, while industrial turnover on foreign markets was 0.3% higher.

On the year, industrial turnover on the domestic market was 7.1% down, while on foreign markets it grew 19.4%.

In the first ten months of this year, industrial turnover was 3.4% higher than in the same period of last year.

Croatian Chamber of Commerce official Zvonimir Savic said that the 3.4% growth of industrial turnover in the first ten months was owing to a rise in foreign demand. Sales on foreign markets in the said period grew 10.3%, while domestic sales dropped 2.4%, testifying to weak domestic demand, Savic said.
