Infosys sets up delivery facilities in Karlovac

Infosys, a world-known Indian provider of services in consulting, technology, outsourcing and next-generation services, has set up delivery centres in Russia and Croatia so as enlarge its global network in eastern Europe, according to foreign press.

"The establishment of centres in Croatia and Russia enables us to tap into a rich pool of engineering talent and bring this to the industrial and manufacturing companies that we work with around the world," Sandeep Dadlani, Global Head-Manufacturing, Retail, CPG and Logistics at Infosys, said in a statement.

Infosys has taken over some employees who worked with the French industrial conglomerate Alstom to service its engineering clients.

"The Bengaluru-headquartered IT company took over the Alstom employees after the French company was bought by General Electric. The European Union had mandated that the combined firm divest part of its assets in the merger approval process. Infosys would not disclose the number of employees taken over from Alstom," according to the Economic Times.

"The new Infosys facilities in Karlovac in Croatia and Moscow in Russia will have an initial combined capacity of up to 180 seats. The new delivery centres will also serve as centres of excellence for engineering skills in turbo machinery, aerospace and automotive and serve other engineering clients."
