Metal Product completes construction of new plants

Metal Product, a private Croatian company specialised in producing electrical equipment and metal structures, on Monday formally finalised a project of building new plants and introducing new technologies, and on that occasion Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic attended a ceremony held in the company's headquarters in the northern town of Breznicki Hum.

The president praised the company's owner Stjepan Safran for successes during his 50-year-long entrepreneurship.

"Your legacy are exemplary companies and factories that contribute to the development of the economy," she said at the ceremony.

"Job creation is vital. You and many of our entrepreneurs are a pillar of the country's progress and a guarantee of a better future."

Currently, the company employs more than 160 workers.

Metal Product boasts facilities and offices on 13,000 square metres with modern technologies for producing and developing: electrical equipment, connection and suspension accessories for LV, MV and HV cables and overhead applications, equipment for insulated and uninsulated overhead lines, LED lighting for indoor application and street lighting or casting of non-ferrous metals etc.

"In 1997, the ISO 9001 standard was introduced, and ISO 14001 in 2002. In 2012, the company was awarded the NATO and EU certificate of business security 'Secret'." the company stated on its web site.
