Petrokemija revenues drop 24 pct, losses more than halved

The Kutina-based artificial fertiliser manufacturer Petrokemija wrapped up the first quarter of 2016 at a loss of HRK 6.6 million (HRK 15.9 million in Q1 2015), while revenues dropped 23.6% to HRK 534.4 million, according to a financial report released on Friday.

Most of the revenues came from sales, which dropped 24% to HRK 518.25 million. Domestic sales accounted for 28.6% of the sales revenues, amounting to HRK 152.9 million, down 44.5% from Q1 2015. Exports brought in HRK 365.4 million, a decrease of 10.1%. Expenditures were HRK 540.9 million, down 24.4%.

In Q1 2016, Petrokemija manufactured 269,000 tonnes of fertiliser, up 3.5% on the year. Investments in said period were HRK 32 million, HRK 700,000 less than in Q1 2015.

The Petrokemija group posted a loss of HRK 7.3 million.
