15 illegal migrants found in cargo train in east Croatia

Railway workers found 15 illegal migrants of African and Asian background hidden in carriages of a cargo train in Slavonski Brod, eastern Croatia, and a police investigation is under way.

A local police spokesman told Hina that the police had been informed by railway pointsmen on Sunday afternoon that the 15 illegal migrants had been found in a cargo train that had arrived from Serbia.

Some of those migrants needed medical assistance and were admitted to the hospital in Slavonski Brod. According to information from the hospital, they were not in a life-threatening condition.
