219,491 jobless at end of June

At the end of June there were 219,491 people registered as unemployed in Croatia, which is 12,836 or 5.5% less than in May, according to figures released by the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) on Monday.

June was the fifth consecutive month to see a monthly decrease in the number of the jobless.

Compared to June last year, this was a decrease of 15.6% or 40,582 persons.

Unemployment is continuing to decrease in July and daily figures released by the HZZ indicate that currently 219,460 persons are registered as unemployed.

There are currently 10,811 vacancies advertised by the HZZ.
