All three sides to attend cross-party meeting on Monday

Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Tomislav Karamarko and Bridge reformist party leader Bozo Petrov confirmed after talks in Sibenik late on Friday afternoon that the HDZ too would attend a meeting which has been convened by Bridge leaders for Monday and which will also be attended by leaders of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

"I would like a political dialogue to start, and then what will be, will be. I believe that eventually there is a possibility for a consensus," Petrov said. He also said that today's two-hour meeting with Karamarko was constructive.

"I will attend that meeting and I am willing to talk," Karamarko said after the meeting. "One must talk, we have agreed on that," Karamarko said, adding that no offers were made today.

Petrov said that many topics could be opened at the joint meeting on Monday.

Karamarko dismissed reports in some media that he would offer Petrov the position of Prime Minister in exchange for Bridge entering a coalition with the HDZ-led Patriotic Coalition.

Immediately after the new, eighth parliament failed to elect a speaker on Thursday, the Bridge party convened a meeting for Monday inviting all the relevant sides to attend. The SDP said on Thursday evening that the centre-left Croatia Is Growing coalition accepted the invitation for a new round of negotiations on the formation of the government.
