Atlantic Grupa reports drops in H1 income and profit

Atlantic Grupa recorded a net profit after minority interest of HRK 133.5 million in the first half of 2016, down 7.3% compared with the same period of 2015, the food company said on Thursday.

The result was adversely affected by lower positive foreign exchange rates and higher taxes as a result of the imposition of profit tax in Bosnia and Herzegovina, from which it had been exempt until this year.

EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) dropped by 7.4% to HRK 259.8 million, while EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) was HRK 192.2 million, down 7.4%.

Total income fell by 2.6% to HRK 2.48 billion, with sales income decreasing by 3.3% to HRK 2.45 billion.
