Bosnian prosecution: Gotovina not suspected nor under investigation

Information that Bosnia and Herzegovina is preparing to prosecute retired Croatian general Ante Gotovina is false, the Bosnian State Prosecutor's Office reported on Tuesday.

After some media in Serbia reported that based on evidence obtained by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia prosecution against general Gotovina, an investigation would be launched against him in Bosnia and Herzegovina, prosecutorial authorities in that country reacted in a brief statement noting that this was not true.

The statement went on to say that a more detailed explanation would be released during the day in "reference to information that has raised tensions in the region."
