Bridge in favour of parliament dissolution and snap election in September

Deputies of the Bridge party believe that parliament must be dissolved, we informed the president that all our (12) MPs have supported this request and we expect parliament to discuss it as soon as possible and get dissolved on 15 July so that snap election could be help in early September, the whip of the Bridge party parliamentary group, Miroslav Simic, said after the consultations with the president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Friday.

This is necessary because of those citizens with seasonal jobs and so that we can secure as high turnout as possible, Simic said outside the President's Office.

Parliament Deputy Speaker Robert Podolnjak of the Bridge party said they pointed out to the president that the practice in democracies was not to hold elections in July and August.

Deputy Parliament Speakers Vesna Pusic and Milanka Opacic and I advocated the calling of a session of the parliamentary presidency's at which it would be decided to convene a parliamentary session at which parliament would be dissolved, Podolnjak said.
