Croatian Ambassador to Serbia Gordan Markotic said on Monday that he did not attend a meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and ambassadors accredited to Serbia because he had not been not invited.
The meeting addressed Serbia's current position in the region. After Belgrade's media speculated that Markotic either missed the meeting or had not been invited, he told Hina that he had not been invited.
Vucic's office "would neither confirm nor refute" that information, Tanjug news agency said.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Vucic said that last week had been "one of the most difficult weeks" for him because, as prime minister, he had to keep quiet about the "gravest insults" against Serbia, as he did not want to respond in equal measure to Croats and Croatia.
