Croatian, British soldiers hold joint exercise near Knin

A Croatian Army platoon and three platoons of the British Armed Forces held a demonstration as part of the military exercise "Sava Star 16" at a military range about ten kilometres from Knin on Monday.

Attending the exercise were Croatian Defence Minister Josip Buljevic, Croatian Army Chief-of-Staff Mirko Sundov, and British Ambassador Andrew Dalgleish.

This was the fourth consecutive year that the Croatian and British armies held a joint exercise. The previous three exercises were held at a military range near Slunj.

The purpose of the exercise was to train a land platoon in a multinational environment and provide support in the training of reserve land troops of the British army.

The Sava Star 16 exercise is being held from August 20 to September 3.
