Croatian PM to attend EU summit next week

New Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic will for the first time attend an EU summit in Brussels next week and meet with leaders of EU institutions.

Oreskovic is scheduled to meet with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker next Thursday before the summit, Commission spokeswoman Natacha Bertaud announced on Friday. On the same day he is also due to meet with European Parliament President Martin Schulz.

The leaders of the 28 EU member states are meeting in Brussels next Thursday and Friday to discuss a proposal for an agreement with Great Britain that should ensure that the country stays in the Union, and the ongoing refugee and migrant crisis.
