Croatian president to attend 11th Bled Strategic Forum

Over 700 participants from 70 states are expected at the 11th Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia starting on Monday, including leaders, politicians, business people, experts and representatives of international organisations from the European Union, the wider region and the rest of the world.

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will attend this year's event, called "Safeguarding the Future". Aside from security issues relating to migrations and terrorism, organisers have focused on energy, tensions in the Western Balkans, the global economy and integration processes.

On Monday, Grabar-Kitarovic will attend the Leaders' Panel on security challenges and rising instability in the world together with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Canada Senate Speaker George Furey, Slovenian President Borut Pahor and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Informal bilateral meetings are expected on the fringes of the event.
