Defence minister against merging ministries of war veterans, defence

Defence Minister Josip Buljevic said on Wednesday that he was against merging the war veterans' and defence ministries, and that "not one serious conversation in that direction has been held."

The two ministries handle different issues, the War Veterans' Ministry defines the policy towards the Homeland War and handles veterans' rights and needs, while the Defence Ministry handles security, Buljevic told reporters, adding that merging the two would not be right.
