Enterprise minister speaks about investment potential

Enterprise and Crafts Minister Darko Horvat said in the eastern Croatian town of Vinkovci on Wednesday that in the private sector alone, the enterprise investment potential in Croatia at this moment exceeded 14 billion kuna, adding that it depended on the state administration as well as on entrepreneurs at which pace those investments would take place.

The minister visited the aluminum laminating plant in the Vinkovci-based Grand-Export company, worth approximately 15 million. The plant employed 15 new workers.

After touring the plant, Horvat told the press his ministry would later today announce a programme which will made nearly 250 million kuna from EU structural funds available to entrepreneurs. "Next Wednesday we will issue another tender worth approximately HRK 50 million for co-ops, clusters, women entrepreneurs and all those who cannot access money through EU funds," Horvat said.
