FM Kovac gives talk in KAS European Office in Brussels

Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miro Kovac held a lecture on the topic "Croatia at the crossroads between Central and South-East Europe" in the European Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brussels on Monday.

In his speech delivered before diplomats, members of the European Parliament, executives and other guests, Minister Kovac described Croatia as "a success story", and gave an overview of the country's history from its struggle for independence to the full membership of NATO and the European Union.

Upon the accomplishment of its initial objectives, Croatia should reposition itself now and play an active role in central and south-east Europe, he said.

He reiterated Croatia's commitment to assistance in efforts of its south-eastern European neighbours on their journey towards the EU.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a political foundation, closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). The European Office Brussels actively monitors developments in the European Union since 1978.
