A three-day conference of the World Organisation of the Ovulation Method Billings (WOOMB), organised by the Centre for Natural Planned Parenthood, which brought together over a hundred experts from 23 countries from all continents, started in Zagreb on Thursday.
WOOMB International director Joan Clements from Australia said the topic of the conference was openness to life with with Billings method.
The event was also addressed by Croatian Social Policy and Youth Minister Bernartica Juretic who underscored the importance of this topic, notably at the time of the economic crisis when young people are not easily deciding to start a family.
If there are no families and young people, politics makes no sense either. Juretic said underscoring she supported all initiatives promoting the well-being of families.
WOOMB bases its activities on the the work of its founders the late Drs John and Evelyn Billings who established the Billings Ovulation Method of natural fertility regulation. The Billings Ovulation Method is a Method which empowers women, through knowledge of their patterns of fertility and infertility and the time of ovulation, to achieve or postpone pregnancy and to monitor their reproductive health.
