Gov't to adopt guidelines for drafting this year's budget on Thursday

The Croatian government is expected at its meeting on Thursday to adopt guidelines for the drafting of this year's budget, with projections for 2017 and 2018.

According to an earlier statement by Finance Minister Zdravko Maric, expenditure should not be higher than that planned for 2015, when it was slightly in excess of HRK 120 billion, while the budget deficit should be 3% of GDP.

Also on the agenda of Thursday's session will be a decision to establish three commissions to facilitate the implementation of reforms aimed at improving the public administration system: the Commission for Modernisation of Public Administration, the Commission for Development of Human Resources in Public Administration, and the Commission for Computerisation of Public Administration.
