The Croatian Party of Slavonia and Baranja (HDSSB) has received the most donations for the ongoing election campaign, the Istrian Democratic Party (IDS) has received the least, and the Social Democratic Party-led coalition "Croatia is Growing" has spent the most on electioneering so far.
The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Patriotic Coalition it is leading will publish their reports on funds spent on electioneering later in the afternoon, said HDZ spokesman Ivan Jabuka.
The HDSSB has received HRK 726,999 in donations and spent HRK 605,000. The list of its donors includes the party's founder Branimir Glavas, HDSSB leader Dragan Vulin as well as HDSSB MPs Dinko Buric, Josip Salapic and Kresimir Bubalo.
The Forward Croatia - Progressive Alliance coalition follows with donations worth HRK 418,000. In the first half of the official election campaign, the coalition has spent HRK 936,000. Donations were made by members of the public, coalition candidate Slavko Linic, as well as the Jadransko Osiguranje insurance company and the Coning construction company.
Legal persons may donate a maximum HRK 200,000 to a political party in a calendar year and a maximum HRK 100,000 to an independent slate or an ethnic minority candidate. The limit for donations by physical persons is HRK 30,000.
The ORaH green party has received HRK 260,000 in donations and spent HRK 170,000. The biggest individual donors were the oil and gas distribution companies Crodux Derivati and Crodux Plin.
A platform of independent candidates going by the name MOST (Bridge) has received HRK 215,000 in donations and spent almost HRK 300,000. Its 51 donors include the Orbico company, which made a HRK 20,000 donation.
In the Name of the Family - Project Homeland party has been supported by 70 donors with HRK 190,000. The party has spent HRK 98,000 so far.
The coalition "Ready", led by Ruza Tomasic, has received HRK 133,000 from donors and spent 140,000.
The Croatian Dawn party, led by Milan Kujundzic, has been given HRK 44,000 in donations and has spent HRK 57,000.
The IDS has not received any donations and has spent HRK 470,000 for electioneering purposes.
The SDP-led "Croatia is Growing" coalition has received a mere HRK 32,600 in donations and spent slightly more than HRK 10 million.
Donations may be received until the completion of the official election campaign, November 6, and complete financial reports are to be submitted within 30 days from election day, November 8.
The deadline for the publication of reports on donations expires at midnight today.
