HDZ chief hopeful new gov't will lay down foundations of a happier country

The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader, Tomislav Karamarko, has said in a New Year message that Croatia is entering 2016 , full of expectations and wishing a better life, and he has added that a new government to be led by his party will pave the way for a happier country.

"Ahead of us lie the 366 days of great challenges and also of great opportunities to show what we can and how much we can achieve. Perhaps we will not accomplish all the goals in the next 366 days, but I am confident that we will pave a solid and steady way for their accomplishment," the HDZ president wrote on his Facebook account on Friday.

He writes that the Croatian people has proved that they can achieve everything when they are unanimous and have a clear aim ahead of them.

"Our aim is a happier Croatia for us. We will achieve this together," Karamarko said wishing a more prosperous  new year than last year to Croatian citizens.
