HDZ: Patriotic Coalition spent HRK 15.5 mln on campaigning

The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party reported on behalf of the Patriotic Coalition on Thursday that it had had HRK 11.5 million at its disposal for the election campaign and that costs amounted to HRK 15.5 million, adding that the deficit of HRK 4 million would be compensated from the allowance it would receive for election campaigning.

Of the HRK 11.5 million available, HRK 7.3 million came from donations and HRK 4.2 million was from their own assets. As a deficit was incurred this will be covered from the allowance of HRK 180,000 that each party or coalition will receive for each seat won in parliament. As the Patriotic Coalition won 59 seats in parliament it can expect an allowance of HRK 10.6 million.
