Health insurance institure to introduce e-patient charts as of 1 Sept

E-patient charts, namely smart cards with patient information, will be put on a test run on 1 September, the head of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute (HZZO), Fedor Dorcic, said on Monday, announcing full computerisation of the health system over the next year, like no other country in Europe had.

All hospital will have a computer connection with the HZZO and  a central scheduling calendar will be introduced, Dorcic told the press.

Also available will be a mobile application for scheduling appointments, e-test results, etc.
