HSS expects Jokic, his team to continue work on curricular reform

The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), which is a member of the ruling Patriotic Coalition, on Tuesday supported the continuation of the integral curriculum reform, stressing that, appreciating the competence of the expert team in charge of the reform, headed by Boris Jokic, it expected the team to continue and complete its work.

The HSS said that acceptable objections and new proposals put forward in a public and expert debate on the reform should definitely be included in curriculum documents before the implementation of the reform or during its experimental stage.

"We particularly underline the role of teachers who are expected to carry out the reform, whose financial status is still below what they deserve, and we call for equating their salaries with salaries in other public services," the party said.
