HZZ: Demand for seasonal jobs on rise

A 3% rise in seasonal employment was registered in August compared to July, and demand for this type of employment also rose by 3.8%, according to figures provided by the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ).

From the start of the year to the end of August, a total of 39,259 Croatians were seasonally employed, while in the whole of 2015, 41,467 Croats found seasonal jobs.

As usual, the highest demand for seasonal employment is in tourist trade and hotels and restaurants, and such jobs were offered most frequently in coastal areas, according to the HZZ.
