Interior minister visits refugee transit centre

Croatian Interior Minister Vlaho Orepic said on Monday, after touring the Winter Refugee Transit Centre in Slavonski Brod together with his predecessor Ranko Ostojic, that Croatia was meeting its obligations in the refugee crisis fully and in a humane manner.

"Croatia is a safe and decent country, there is nothing to add to that. We have responded entirely, regarding our obligations in this crisis," said Orepic.

Asked about Croatia's steps in the next period, the minister said Croatia would act in accordance with the needs, adding that he would continue to monitor developments in the transit centre on a daily basis.

Former Minister Ostojic said Croatia has met all the conditions, and that there was nothing that could have jeopardised the country's safety. He also wished the new minister success in his work.
