Karamarko: HDZ, Bridge have enough quality people to form govt.

Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) president Tomislav Karamarko said on Facebook on Thursday that the HDZ and Bridge parties had enough quality personnel to form the government and that the fact that talks were under way also with outgoing ministers did not mean that they were offering them ministerial posts.

The HDZ and Bridge have enough quality personnel to form the government, which does not mean that we won't consider and acknowledge other proposals too, Karamarko said, adding that Prime Minister-Designate Tihomir Oreskovic would have the last word.

He said they were talking with outgoing ministers to collect as much information as possible about the state of affairs and that this was normal in all democracies in which an as painless as possible takeover of power was more important than inter-party conflicts. He thanked the outgoing ministers who understood that.
