Karamarko reactivates term as MP

On Monday, after adopting a decision to dissolve itself effective July 15, the Croatian parliament upheld a report by the Credentials and Privileges Commission under which the former First Deputy Prime Minister and Croatian Democratic Union president Tomislav Karamarko is returning to parliament.

Karamarko resigned to his post in the government on June 15, after which parliament gave a vote of no confidence in PM Tihomir Oreskovic, whereby the entire cabinet fell. Upon resigning, Karamarko exercised his right to reactivate his term as an MP, submitting an application to that end.
