Karamarko says all Croats should live in EU together

Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) president Tomislav Karamarko said in Mostar, southern Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Thursday that he strongly pushed for BiH's accession to the European Union so that all Croats could live in the EU together.

"We are interested in BiH entering the European Union as soon as possible because we want the entire Croatian people to be in the EU," he told reporters before an election rally.

He said Croatia's next, HDZ-led government, would support the achievement of equality for Croats in BiH. "We can't accept the situation in which the Croat people in BiH is unequal in relation to the other two peoples (Serbs and Bosniaks). So, Bosnia and Herzegovina is our homeland, we are fighting for it, for its integrity, but with the equality of the Croat people in its entirety."
