Mayor glad Sibenik interesting to potential investors such as Brad Pitt

The mayor of the central Adriatic city of Sibenik, Zeljko Buric, said on Wednesday he was pleased that the City Council had adopted comprehensive amendments to the general urban development plan, which would enable systematic development of the Sibenik area.

Buric told Hina he was also pleased that US actor Brad Pitt had expressed an interest in investing in the Zablace complex, where construction of a EUR 2 billion tourist resort is planned.

The mayor would not speculate about whether the renowned actor, who had recently visited Sibenik, would invest in the Zablace complex or not, but expressed satisfaction that Sibenik was attracting the interest of famous people.

The new development plan covers over 2,000 hectares of land and 500 hectares of maritime area. Buric said that the aim of the city administration was for Sibenik to become an Adriatic centre of green industry by 2030 and to ensure a better standard of living for its residents.
