Miletic says IDS gives support to Milanovic to form government

The president of the Istrian Democratic Party (IDS), Boris Miletic, said on Tuesday that his party, namely the three elected parliamentary deputies, had given their support to Social Democrats (SDP) chief Zoran Milanovic to form the new government, after the IDS and the SDP had harmonised the platform for the decentralisation of Croatia and the realisation of vital projects and Istria and Primorje.

Miletic told the press in the northern Adriatic city of Pula that the IDS and the SDP had signed an agreement on decentralisation and in line with that the IDS presidency at its session on Monday evening decided that its elected MPs would give their support to Milanovic to form the new government.

"For us, decentralisation is critical for Croatia's development and a starting point for further activities and this platform on decentralisation and vital projects in Istria and Primorje is the first step and a critical prerequisite in achieving the final post-election agreement between the SDP and the IDS," Miletic said.
