MOST invites two party blocs for joint meeting

The Bridge (MOST) reformist party on Thursday called leaders of the HDZ-led and the SDP-led coalitions for a meeting on Monday, 7 December, starting at noon.

Bridge said that it would continue to insist on its demands.

In the event that only one of the two blocs appears at the scheduled meeting, Bridge will resume negotiations with that side on forming a reformist government, according to a press release issued by Bridge.

Bridge said it would be at the disposal to either bloc if they preferred an earlier meeting in order to find a quick and effective solution to the current situation.

The press release was issued after the new parliament failed to elect its speaker and thus was not formally established.

Bridge said that only the SDP (Social Democratic Party) and the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) should be held responsible if a new election was called.
