No economic migrants among refugees in Slavonski Brod, in total more than 425,000 migrants have passed through Croatia

Over the past 24 hours, 3,230 persons arrived in Croatia through the so-called Balkan refugee route and there were no economic migrants among them, spokesman for the police Domagoj Dzigumovic said on Saturday, adding the intensity of the arrivals had not yet been reduced.

"This is a smaller number than usual, but over the past several days we had up to 9,000 arrivals, so we cannot speak about a smaller intensity," Dzigumovic told a regular news conference in the refugee transit centre in Slavonski Brod.

Since the start of the refugee crisis in mid-September, more than 425,000 have passed through Croatia and the entry of refugees from Serbia after their registration in Sid as well as their departure towards Slovenia is proceeding without problems, Dzigumovic said.

The Croatian Interior Ministry said in a press release that between midnight and 0900 hours Saturday, 1,954 migrants entered Croatia and at 0900 hours a total of 1,093 persons were staying at the reception centre in Slavonski Brod.
