The parliamentary groups of the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Labour Party and the Croatian People's Party requested on Wednesday that parliament be dissolved and an early election called.
"End this experiment and say 'it's over'," Pedja Grbin (SDP) told the ruling parties. He called on all MPs "to end this ugly story" and dissolve parliament so that citizens could go to the polls.
He accused the ruling parties of turning Croatia "into a political laboratory for their experiments," asking them if they were "at least a little embarrassed because of the disorder, inaction and shame" they brought Croatian citizens.
Labour Party president Nansi Tireli said a draft decision on parliament's dissolution for the purpose of an early election was put into parliamentary procedure this morning by her party. "The incumbent government isn't working because the key protagonists can't find a solution," she said, adding that it would be unfair to forget the responsibility of Bridge party leader Bozo Petrov.
Goran Beus Richembergh (HNS) urged the parliament speaker to understand the motion for parliament's dissolution as the most important one to vote on and to include it on the agenda as soon as possible.
