Oreskovic congratulates Serbia's PM on election victory

Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic on Monday congratulated Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on his victory in an early parliamentary election held in that country on Sunday, the Serbian government said.

The press release notes that Oreskovic sent Vucic a letter congratulating him on the election victory.

Earlier, Vucic received congratulations from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party-led coalition won 131 of the 250 seats in the Serbian parliament.
