Petrov: Signatures for PM-Designate after agreement on entire "package"

After meeting with President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic for consultations on Wednesday, Bridge leader Bozo Petrov said that the party would give its signatures to form a new government once "the entire package is agreed" in negotiations with the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).

Petrov expressed his satisfaction that HDZ had accepted Bridge's seven conditions. "We are pleased with their sign that they are prepared to do what needs to be done in Croatia and for its citizens," he said.

The meetings between Bridge and HDZ are currently focusing on platform guidelines and everything could be completed by mid-October, he said.

In reference to speculation that the government would have four deputy prime ministers, Petrov said that they had not discussed positions yet. Talks regarding personnel and responsibilities according to portfolios are to come "over the next week," he added.

"When the entire package is agreed, if it is, and I believe it will be, then it can be presented. Before that I do not wish to discuss it through the media," he said.
