PM-designate reveals names of 4 deputy PMs

Prime Minister-Designate and Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Andrej Plenkovic did not reveal the names of the 19 ministerial candidates on Tuesday, but said the new government would have four deputy PMs - Martina Dalic, Davor Ivo Stier, Damir Krsticevic and Ivan Kovacic - and confirmed that Nina Obuljen Korzinek would be the minister of culture.

Plenkovic said he was pleased that the new government would have four women ministers. Although he did not reveal the names of the ministerial candidates, he said they were actually known and that they were all experienced men and women.

According to HDZ sources, the four women ministers are expected to be Dalic as minister of the economy, Obuljen Korzinek as minister of culture, Gabrijela Zalac as minister of regional development and EU funds, and Nada Murganic as minister of demography, family, youth and social policy.

Stier would be the the minister of foreign and European affairs, Krsticevic the minister of defence, and Kovacic the minister of public administration.

Zdravko Maric is again the nominee for minister of finance, as is Tomo Medved for minister of war veterans, Vlaho Orepic for minister of the interior, Ante Sprlje for minister of justice, Slaven Dobrovic for minister of environmental protection and energy, Lovro Kuscevic for minister of construction, and Oleg Butkovic is expected to be minister of transport and infrastructure again.

Pavo Barisic was nominated minister of science and education, Milan Kujundzic minister of health, Tomislav Coric minister of labour and the pension system, Gari Capelli is expected to be minister of tourism, and Tomislav Tolusic, who served as minister of regional development and EU funds in the previous government, minister of agriculture.
