PM designate says names of minister will be released after package is done

Prime Minister designate Andrej Plenkovic said on Sunday that the names of the ministers in his government would be released after the package is done, expressing satisfaction with talks he held so far.

He underscored that so far he held talks with enough people.

"If the government is given a vote of confidence by then, I will gladly travel to Brussels on Thursday as Croatia's prime minister," Plenkovic said.

A regular EU summit is scheduled to start on Thursday and some of the topics to be discussed are migrations, trade issue and relations with Russia.

Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Secretary General Gordan Jandrokovic told reporters that talks would continue with candidates for ministerial positions and that preparations for Monday's parliamentary debate were underway.

Jandrokovic underscored that the first item on tomorrow's agenda will be the appointment of the Ombudswoman for People with Disabilities and the adoption of the Law on the Financing of Campaigning and Political Parties.

He added that some other committees were expected to be formed on Monday.
