PM leaves before government session

Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic left government headquarters "because of pressing commitments" shortly before the start of a scheduled government session on Thursday.

After the prime minister's departure, the government's press service said that the government would hold a conference call in the afternoon from which a press release would be issued.

Tourism Minister Anton Kliman, speaking to reporters on arrival for the session, said he did not know why the meeting had been postponed, and Justice Minister Ante Sprlje declined to speak to the press.

According to unofficial information, all ministers but Science, Education and Sport Minister Predrag Sustar remained in the government building. Sustar came out, spoke to the press and left.
