PM says will focus on intelligence agency chief next week

Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic said in Brussels on Friday evening that he would deal with the issue of the Security and Intelligence Agency chief next week.

Asked when he would make a decision on Dragan Lozancic, the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency whose replacement was signed by President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, the PM said: "Last week, when I was in Zagreb, the main topic was the budget, the entire government is working on the budget. On Wednesday I travelled to Brussels and I will be back tomorrow. On Monday I will attend the EBRD investment conference in London, so when I get back next week, we will sit down and focus on home issue and we will make a decision regarding Mr Lozancic in due time."

The decision to relieve the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency must be signed by the prime minister and the president. President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic signed the decision on February 5.
