President, PM wish happy Passover

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic on Friday congratulated Jewish citizens on Passover.

In her message, the president said Passover was "a holiday which reminds us of deliverance from slavery and of the joy of the freedom achieved, with faith in a better and fairer life, in peace and togetherness which our society and the whole world needs."

In his message, the prime minister said, "On the occasion of the holiday which celebrates deliverance from slavery, it is important to recall that freedom is a fundamental human right and the greatest value of humankind. In defending that right we stand together, without exception, firmly and uncompromisingly, guarding human dignity and equality in every sphere of life."
