President visits Pag island

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic attended the Island of Pag Economic Forum in Novalja on Friday alongside representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in Croatia and 160 business people from the island.

The forum was preceded by a diplomatic tea party at the Lun Olives Garden, a unique botanic reserve of indigenous millennial olives from whose leaves tea is made.

The president thanked the diplomatic corps for attending the forum, saying she was confident that they had recognised Pag's prospects and that she hoped they would come back as friends and guests as well as help in attracting investments for the island's development.

She underlined the importance of traffic connections between the islands and the mainland, of health and other care as well as of the Internet, adding that she would talk about this with the relevant ministers and the premier.
