Proposal to replace HRT director not on parliament's agenda due to lack of quorum

According to unofficial sources, the parliamentary majority on Thursday afternoon unsuccessfully tried to achieve a quorum so as to include on the parliamentary agenda and discuss a proposal that Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) director-general Goran Radman be relieved of duty and Sinisa Kovacic be appointed as acting HRT director-general.

More than 70 MPs gathered in the parliament chamber this afternoon, but when opposition MPs left after attending a discussion on the central bank's report for 2014, not enough MPs remained to take a vote to expand the agenda.

Speaker Zeljko Reiner then concluded the session, announcing that it would continue on Friday, but he would not say which items would be discussed.

Contrary to the usual practice, there was no information on the parliament's web site on how the parliament will continue its work on Friday, however, unofficial sources said that MPs would vote at the beginning of the session to expand the agenda, after which a discussion on Radman's replacement should ensue.
