SDP elects new Presidency, Main Committee

Ranko Ostojic, Davor Bernardic, Tonino Picula and Milanka Opacic were elected vice presidents of the strongest opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) at an election convention on Saturday.

The party also elected a new Presidency comprising 17 members and a new Main Committee, which has 103 members.

Party president Zoran Milanovic called on delegates and members to focus on what was ahead for the party, the fight to come to power. "We are better, stronger and more honest. We have good intentions, but not those paving the way to hell but to success. We must change ourselves and things in Croatia," he said closing the party's 13th election convention.
