Serbian PM congratulates HDZ leader on election victory

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Tomislav Karamarko on winning Sunday's parliamentary election.

"I hope that your election success will help improve cooperation and stabilise political and economic relations in the region," Vucic said in his message.

According to preliminary results announced by the State Electoral Commission after processing ballots from 67 per cent of polling stations, the HDZ-led coalition won the most votes in Croatia's parliamentary election on Sunday.
