Croatia, Albania sign cultural cooperation agreement

Croatian Culture Minister Zlatko Hasenbegovic and Albanian Culture Minister Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi in Zagreb on Friday signed an agreement regulating the two countries' cultural cooperation for the 2016-2019 period.

Hasenbegovic said this was a fifth cultural cooperation programme for the three-year period.
We are signing the agreement based on the international agreement on education and culture cooperation signed in 1994, he said adding that the document regulated cooperation in culture and art.

He said the most important thing was that with this agreement the two countries were ending a four-year break in cooperation.

Albanian minister Kumbaro Furxhi said the agreement was an expression of support to Croatia-Albania cultural cooperation and cooperation of their cultural institutions.
